Deleted other blogs here, moved to the Blue Agave Forum server

For those of you who didn't know, the forum here was shut down this summer and everything but this blog was moved to my new server, the Blue Agave Forum, hosted with GoDaddy. This was done because the server here - Hostpapa - was becoming increasingly hostile towards my sites and the maount of traffic I get.

The future of parking enforcement?

Now while we don't have the budget for this type of equipment right now, it's probably coming sometime in the future for bylaw enforcement. It is worth following up to find out if the improvements in efficiency pay a dividend that helps counter the cost, and how long the pay-back period is.

Student vote shows different results

I found a link to the student vote for the municipal elections posted on Facebook today, and the results are interesting - a little disappointing to me, too. Gave me something to think about, too, and about my own name recognition among students and youth.

More accountability for the public sector proposed

So far, I have been unimpressed by the McGuinty government, but the proposed new legislation that expands accountability rules across the public sector strikes me as the best thing they've done to date (perhaps the ONLY good thing they've done to date).
