Should Mayor Carrier seek a second term?

Vote on the Peak FM's poll here: thepeakfm.com/home/default.aspx

No surprise, but I voted no. Last time I checked (late Tuesday night), it was 85% against.

Just before the Peak's poll closed after a week of collecting results, it showed more than 90% of the respondents said a resounding NO to Mayor Carrier running for a second term as mayor. Given his past history of ignoring the public, I suspect he will ignore this poll, too. But even as a straw poll, it really underlines the public's attitude towards his management - I can't call it leadership - these last three-and-a-half years.Meanwhile, Scoop has posted his own poll on The East End Underground, asking who respondents would pick for mayor: Carrier, Cooper or Jeffrey. As of this moment, Cooper is ahead at 88% of respondents, with Carrier coming second at 9% and Jeffrey a distant third at 3%. This one is still open for voting. What surprised me was seeing six people on the mayor's side. I really didn't think he had that many supporters left. But who knows - maybe they're from out of town. Or - like his quip about the library statistics - it's just the same person voting six times for him.
