This is Bill, our friend from Guelph, and the cat, "Clarabelle" he adopted from the Georgian Bay Animal Rescue, this weekend. You can't pet one without another (or many others) wanting to get some attention, too. This was taken at the Georgian Bay Animal Rescue (GBAR) shelter, on Tenth Line, in Collingwood, ON. We almost took that white cat home, but decided on another. Sorry for the blurry shot. You can see the climbing tree and couch in the centre of GBAR's main cat toom, as well as a play area to the right. Along the back wayll, shelves with blankets and towels provide zones to sleep and perch. GBAR has a different 'open-style' concept for their cat rooms. Cats can move about freely and interact with both each other and visitors. It's a great idea that helps socialize cats and remove that 'prisoner' trauma that they go through after pending too long in a cage. They are active, mobile and able to find a place to be alone as well. [indent]Inside the new Library, in the foyer ('Art Street') looking west. The circulation desk will be at the lower left. Second floor will be non-fiction, third floor for the town's building and planning department. Meeting rooms, computer rooms, workspace areas, etc. are on every floor.

It's hard to convey the sense of openness and light you feel in this new building with some photos during construction, but when you are inside, everything seems so open and spacious.
