I need an opinion. Every year I buy myself a Christmas gift. Last year it was satellite radio for my car, this year it's going ot be a bottle of tequila. From the list below, if I could have any one of the tequilas as my x-mas gift, which should I choose? (disregard price for right now)

Ancestra Supremo
Arette Suave Gran Class
Chinaco Emperador
Goyri
Herencia de Plata (getting this from the girlfriend already as a gift)
Herencia Historico
Milagro Romance
Mil Pencas - Media Luna
Asom Broso
Don Camilo
Stallion
Mi Viejo

I'd go with the Chinaco. Im not familiar with all on the list, and havent tried the Emperador, but I've enjoyed the silver and reposado.

Funny, I bought 2 bottles of cuervo reserva a few weeks ago, my wife says I keep preempting her gift ideas...
Because of that damned orange!

Mi Viejo looks good in it's box but isn't. Romance is just avarage except for it's fancy bottle. The Aratte Gran Class is trully great. That's the one I would get although of the ones you mentioned these are the only ones I'm personaly familiar with.

Stay away from...

Asom Broso...questionable beginnings!

Milagro...you could clean pennies with their silver tequila! Not convinced about their quality.

Not familiar with some of the others, but I agree with the Chinaco and Arette selections. If it were me...

I'd opt for the Herencia Historico. The packaging is superb--you could use the wooden box it comes in later as a humidor or curio--and...

It has its own etched Riedel tequila glass!

Merry Christmas...you lucky dog! :green:

After deep and serious considerations for these holydays I am buying myself the Philips 50FD9955 50 in. Flat Panel Television and the complete set of Casa Noble.

From your list I would go with Chinaco Emperador, I like all of the Chinaco products and I haven’t tried this one so I am very curios about their claim that it is aged for 7 years.

My self given xmas present might be gone this year. :(
I took the plunge and checked out a few engagement rings this past Saturday morning. I did the math and realized I could buy everything on my tequila wishlist 4 times over and still have money leftover, just for the price of one diamond engagement ring. After dry heaving a few times I went home and drank a lot out of my tequila collection to make myself feel better!

Wow, you are the first person to congratulate me, most say, "Don't do it!!"

Anyway, she loves tequila. I''ve turned her onto sipping tequila and sangrita. Best part is her favorite right now is a Centinela 1 year anejo. Approx $40.

Don't worry, the "cheap date" part will end sometime after the "I do".
But congratulations!

After all, misery loves company? Just kidding around.

Accept tequila as an engagement gift rather than a diamond ring which offers me NO satisfaction.

Good one.

If she did and also liked golf she would be the perfect women.

She loves tequila
She hates football
She is pretty
To get her I need to spend a dry heavingly large sum of money for a ring
Did I mention we'd have to pay for the wedding ourselves as well?

You think I can put tequila on my engagement registry and/or wedding registry? Forget dishes and blenders, I want tequila!

Go for it. Id much rather shop for a nice bottle than some ridiculously priced 400 thread count bedsheets.

Ugh, golf... Sorry Lirubis, but cant stand the activity. The game itself is challenging, but I find "golf culture," rather despicable.

I guess I know what you mean. Golfers are probably wine snobs, cigar snobs, etc but, I love the game and one of the great joys in life is having a wife who likes it as much as I do.

I used to hate golf but a friend introduced me to the gave many years ago an now I can’t stop playing. Like my friend says it is the game of the devil…

On the other hand I get to go with a group of friends, walk around a bountiful place, talking (How do you say in English? Shooting the *feces*?) and we always have a bottle of tequila with us.

I have a love/hate relationship with golf. When I first started 5 years ago I got obsessed. I wanted to play everyday. Played once a weekend for the entire season. I blamed everything for my 120+ scores except myself. It's the shoes, the balls, the clubs. I mean come on, we all know it's the tees! Seriosuly though, after playing for 4 more years, I began to play a lot less (just busy on weekends). I shoot between 90-110. I used to break clubs, throw clubs, throw balls, kick carts, scream at hot dog vendors, etc. Rage on the golf course to say the least. I'd make a 275 yard beautiful drive, to follow it up by a 10 foot chip witha divot the size of Texas. Isn't it supposed to be a agame to soothe people and a relaxing sport? Well, last year it all changed. I played 5 times, was very calm each time. I realized the less I play, the less aggravated I get because I just blame it on my rustiness from not playing much. Now, if I was playing a lot and still shooting lousy, then it would be a different story perhaps. It's probably alse maturity on the golf course. 5 years ago I was more of a raging punk drinking JC Gold thinking THAT was high end stuff!! So, this offseason, since I barely played golf last year, I bought a new driver. Makes sense right? :)
